Climeworks at WEF's Annual Meeting 2025

Discover Climeworks’ participation at the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting

Climeworks is excited to participate in the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting, taking place from January 20 to 24, 2025, in Davos. Co-founder and co-CEO Christoph Gebald will lead the company’s delegation at this prestigious event, which brings together global leaders to tackle some of the most pressing global challenges since 1971.

As the world navigates rapid technological, geopolitical, and sustainability shifts, Climeworks is committed to advancing vital conversations on climate solutions. The company will emphasize the critical role of both natural and engineered, high-quality carbon removal in helping businesses meet sustainability targets and accelerating the transition to a net-zero global economy.

Throughout the week, Climeworks will focus on fostering strategic partnerships, engaging with key political and business leaders, and demonstrating the pivotal role of carbon removal solutions in achieving both corporate sustainability goals and global net-zero targets.

Climeworks will have a prominent presence in Davos, including co-founder and co-CEO Christoph Gebald and Chief Commercial Officer Adrian Siegrist. They are looking forward to actively participating in key conversations, sharing Climeworks' progress, and exploring new opportunities for collaboration to scale carbon removal efforts globally.

Climeworks enters WEF’s Annual Meeting following a year of major milestones. In 2024, the company celebrated its 15th anniversary, launched Mammoth—the world’s largest DAC facility—and secured $50 million for Project Cypress. It also introduced Climeworks Solutions, combining advanced DAC technology with nature-based methods, and revealed its Generation 3 DAC technology at the Carbon Removal Summit. Furthermore, Mammoth received Puro certification, setting new industry standards for carbon credits.

Over the course of the week, Climeworks will engage in several key events aimed at advancing sustainability efforts and fostering partnerships to drive the deployment of carbon removal solutions at scale. These initiatives will serve as platforms for high-level discussions on how to scale carbon removal and decarbonization efforts globally.
